When General Motors Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson announced that this week would be recognized as the “Team GM Week of Caring” in the United States, the great team at GM Sponsored Auctions looked to the remarking community to help support the initiative and join in the spirit of giving back.
As a result, I’m proud to announce that ADESA will be supporting the Team GM Week of Caring by hosting canned food drives to benefit Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. We will be collecting canned goods at select ADESA auction locations throughout the United States until Friday, September 14.
I’m fortunate to work with a lot of great people in this industry and at ADESA. If there’s one thing I’ve seen time and time again during the years is that we are a generous bunch. We really do rally together around causes that help others.
So, how can you help?
1) Share this post—Let your friends and family know about our nationwide food drive. Your support will help us make a huge impact.
2) Drop off your canned goods at one of our participating ADESA’s auction locations in the United States—Feeding America has a close relationship with more than 200 food banks throughout the country. The canned goods collected at participating ADESA locations will be donated to local food pantries associated with the organization. This will ensure that locally donated goods will help support a larger cause while remaining within the community. Please remember to donate your items by this Friday, Sept. 14. The following auction locations are participating:
By working together, we can help Feeding America and our friends at GM Sponsored Auctions distribute food to people in need across the country.
