Highlights from Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2013

This past month, I had the opportunity to visit ADESA Phoenix for their annual Legendary Sales Week and one of my favorite car events, the 42nd annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.
Barrett-Jackson didn’t disappoint its record 300,000 attendees this year. WestWorld was filled with crowd pleasers, including my favorite muscle car, a 1970 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda. Another highlight included witnessing the auction of the original Batmobile for $4.62 million. And in the true Barrett-Jackson tradition of giving back to the community, the auction raised more than $5 million for 21 different charities.
For more photos of my favorite Barrett-Jackson moments, check out the photo album on ADESA’s Facebook page. I had a great time at Barrett-Jackson’s first auction of 2013, and we’re looking forward to Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach in April!

Henry Ford III and Aaron Shelby, grandson of the late Carroll Shelby, supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation with the auction of a 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500 Cobra.
