At ADESA, we regularly support a variety of causes, including industry organizations such as the National Independent Automotive Dealers Association (NIADA) Foundation.

For the past two years, ADESA and its sister companies have supported the NIADA Foundation with a charity auction at the annual NIADA Convention and Expo. This year, the winning bidder, R. Allen Douglas with Stars GPS, helped us contribute $23,000 to the Foundation from his winning bid on a 2011 BMW 360XI.

Founded in 2006, the mission of the 501(c)(3)-recognized NIADA Foundation is “to improve the used motor vehicle industry by informing consumers, educating dealers and training individuals and companies within the industry.”

Generous contributions from those like Mr. Douglas have an impact on not only the used car industry, but also on students striving for academic excellence.

Each year, the NIADA Foundation presents four scholarships to graduating high school students from each of the NIADA regions—college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary scholastic achievement and leadership qualities in their school and community. In addition to supporting college education, the NIADA Foundation is dedicated to helping inform dealers and the general public about the automotive industry.

The NIADA offers several programs and continuing education courses to help dealers become better professionals—resulting in a more all-around successful industry. And they help educate the public by providing information that helps consumers support local and independent car dealers.

We are proud to have supported the NIADA Foundation with our annual charity car auctions and look forward to future opportunities to partner with this worthwhile cause.
