For the past two months, a group of ADESA auctions have been participating in a fundraising campaign for the T.J. Martell Foundation, which supports and funds cancer research.

The campaign is a partnership between ADESA and Chase, in honor of Joe Rodi, the national auction manager at JPMorgan Chase. Joe was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year.

The campaign capped off with a charity auction at ADESA Boston on November 2. At this event, a 2015 Jaguar XF Sport White 4.5 AG was auctioned off, with a winning bid of $26,500 placed by Max Elentukh of Mercedes-Benz of Natick.

At other auction locations, local fundraising efforts during the campaign raised more than $20,000 for the foundation.

Auction events included:

  • ADESA Washington. D.C. held a raffle for tickets to a Capitals vs. Penguins hockey game. Every donation was an entry to win.
  • ADESA Tulsa auctioned off two tickets to the Oklahoma University vs. Oklahoma State University “Bedlam Series” football game.
  • ADESA Lexington donated $5 for every car sold during a recent Chase sale, and auctioned off a number of items—including a Mark Stoops–autographed University of Kentucky football, a John Calipari–signed UK basketball and two tickets to the “Battle for Ohio” game.
  • ADESA Kansas City auctioned off two tickets to a Justin Timberlake concert.
  • ADESA Houston auctioned off Lady Antebellum concert tickets.
  • ADESA Golden Gate sold raffle tickets for the chance to win a new iPad.
  • ADESA Cincinnati/Dayton collected donations and donated $10 for every Chase unit sold during a Rock the Block event sale.
  • ADESA Charlotte auctioned off a golf cart in-lane to kick off the Chase run.
  • ADESA Brasher’s held a live auction before its 100-unit Chase run. Items up for grabs included Seattle Kings tickets and wine and coffee baskets.
  • ADESA New Jersey auctioned off auction light fixtures, collected donations and sold T-shirts.

Hats off to everyone involved for their successful fundraising campaign for the T.J. Martell Foundation.
