On March 26–27 at the iconic Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, ADESA and the auction industry at large will gather for the annual Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR).

Organized with the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) and International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), CAR 2019 will comprise over 500 remarketing professionals and consist of industry networking, education and celebration.

This year, the ADESA team will be in attendance not just as a long-time sponsor, but as panel guests and keynote speakers. Here’s a bit more information about our involvement at CAR 2019.

CAR 2019 Panels

ADESA VP of Product Development, Kurt Madvig, will be busy at CAR this year. He will join two different panels to give his expert perspective on important industry best practices and consignor-related topics.

How to Better Utilize AutoGrade as a Consignor

Tuesday, March 26 | 2:45 p.m. | Forum 13

In this general session panel discussion, Kurt Madvig—along with Dr. Ben Flusberg and Venkat Krishnamoorthy—will walk consignors through a tour of how to maximize the tools that AutoGrade has to offer. This includes diving deeper into optimizing vehicle values, understanding the condition of vehicles and making smart marketing decisions to maximize returns.

Formulating NAAA Transportation Damage Initiative

Wednesday, March 27 | 2 p.m. | Forum 17-19

As part of this interactive industry forum, Kurt Madvig will join Matt Arias and Randy Bell on the NAAA Standards Committee to seek industry feedback on an initiative launched to identify best practices in documenting transporter-caused vehicle damage, standardize terminology used to identify vehicle damage and decide how to make announcements from the block that are consistent industry-wide.

CAR 2019 Keynote

This is a special year for ADESA at CAR, because Bob Rauschenberg—our executive VP of Sales and Marketing—will deliver the conference’s closing keynote address on Wednesday, March 27 in Forum 13.

Bob’s keynote will cover the myriad lessons he’s learned throughout his nearly half-century career in remarketing. He will then take his unique insight into how the industry has evolved in that time and explain how those experiences can help us successfully navigate the future of wholesale remarketing.

This will be a keynote you won’t want to miss—Bob has been both a consignor and remarketer, held numerous key positions in the industry and has earned several awards, including the NAAA Pioneer Award and the IARA Circle of Excellence Award.
