When ADESA Little Rock first set out to host a charity fundraiser auction to benefit area tornado relief efforts, the auction hoped to collect about $10,000. They were overwhelmed by the generosity of their dealers and customers when they raised nearly $60,000.
Auctioneer Steve Sims came up with the idea for a charity auction. And with the support of the entire ADESA Little Rock team and local dealers, this opportunity to help the community became a reality.
“Our entire team is thankful that our dealers share our philosophy of giving back,” Steve said. “We are truly overjoyed for this outpouring of support.”
Tornadoes devastated the Little Rock area in late April, impacting many families, homes and businesses. The auction saw this as an opportunity to help its community, friends and neighbors. So ADESA and sister company, Automotive Finance Corporation (AFC), donated items for the charity auction, including goods such as tote bags, a chainsaw, rake and more. ADESA also contributed an additional $5,000 to the cause. All proceeds went to the American Red Cross of Greater Arkansas, who has been working tirelessly to assist those in the area.
Hats off to the ADESA Little Rock team on a successful fundraiser.
