ADESA and Ford are both longtime supporters of JDRF, the leading funder of type 1 diabetes research. ADESA joined the Ford Global Action Team in 2012 and has been partnering with Ford in numerous fundraising efforts ever since.

We are enormously proud of this partnership and the funds we’ve been able to raise working together these past few years.

This year, with an amazing level of dedication from employees and customers alike, ADESA auctions in Indianapolis, Boston, Buffalo and Phoenix raised more than $283,000 for the cause.

ADESA employees and their families, along with friends and customers, participated in local JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes events. And the auctions organized a variety of creative—and effective—fundraisers.

The fundraiser that brought in the biggest contribution was the auction of a 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo at ADESA Indianapolis. This amazing vehicle was donated by a customer whose daughter had recently received a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. This customer knew of ADESA’s long-standing support for JDRF and he wanted to be a part of it. His donation was an extraordinarily meaningful act that brought in $77,000 for JDRF.

Our company’s efforts to support JDRF are known deep and wide. Our employees are dedicated to our various fundraisers not just because it’s something we’ve always done but because we all know someone who is touched by this disease. Many of our customers and industry partners recognize, appreciate and support this dedication in a generous way. I guess the spirit is contagious.
