We are thrilled to congratulate Carol Sewell, vice president of marketing at ADESA, on being named to the 2014 Women of Remarketing class.
The annual Women in Remarketing award presented by Auto Remarketing highlights outstanding women in the auto remarketing industry who have a demonstrated history of going above and beyond through innovation, mentorship, philanthropy, education and more.
This is a well-deserved accolade for Carol, who has been an incredible asset to ADESA and to the auto remarketing industry due to her dedication, engaging mentorship, expertise and expansive marketing vision.
As ADESA’s vice president of marketing, she is responsible for driving integrated and targeted marketing programs for the company’s key customers, as well as building a best-in-class brand identity program. She has more than 25 years of experience in managing brand strategies and marketing programs, and has worked in a variety of fields such as financial services, agriculture and health care. Carol has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards, including Cannes International Advertising Festival Silver and Bronze Lions, and a CLIO Award.
For Carol, having the right people, in the right seats, at the right time is essential. Since joining ADESA nearly eight years ago, her hand-picked marketing and corporate communications team has grown exponentially in scope and skill-set under her leadership. She has a knack of hiring for raw talent over a perfect pedigree—and then commits to mentoring that talent through transparency, engagement, education and motivation.
She is known for sharing her knowledge and expertise freely and frequently with her team, providing them with the necessary tools for success. She even created an internal management guide highlighting the best practices of accomplished leaders.
In a well-established industry with sometimes traditional marketing tactics, Carol isn’t afraid to paint slightly outside the lines and explore new partnerships and possibilities—as long as it is what’s best for her customers and her company.
Congratulations again, Carol, on this well-deserved honor.
