Another year has come and gone. During these past 12 months, ADESA celebrated many incredible milestones and our Overdrive Blog was there to document it all. As we reflect on 2015, here is a list of our top 10 ADESA Overdrive Blog posts:

10. KAR Fun Fridays Return to Celebrate Americana

Returning for their second year, Fun Fridays give employees a chance to break out of our normal routines and interact in a new way, while enjoying the summer weather, delicious food and fun games.

9. Inaugural Sales Conference Harnesses the Power of the KAR Group of Companies

In April, more than 400 members of the KAR sales teamwhich includes ADESA, AFC and IAAmet in Indianapolis for the inaugural KAR sales conference.

8. ADESA Grows with DataScan and Pittsburgh Auto Auction Acquisitions

In March, ADESA subsidiary AutoVIN acquired the vehicle inspection business DataScan Field Services. We also announced the acquisition of Pittsburgh Auto Auction, which furthered our presence in the eastern region.

7. ADESA Toronto Switches Up Sales Approach

In October, ADESA Toronto publicized their “2 O’Clock Tuesdays” sales approach, which is a lunch event that gives attendees a look at more than 400 vehicles, followed by a Wednesday morning sale. The approach gives customers access to more than 2,500 vehicles within 24 hours!

6. Canadian Auctioneer College Graduates First ADESA-Only Class

In April, the Canadian Auctioneer College worked with us to customize an ADESA-only class and curriculum that was tailored to the wholesale auction business. The result of the one-week course: nearly 20 ADESA employees certified as auctioneers.

5. ADESA Sales and Service Top Performers Honored

In April, we honored our top performers for dealer sales and online sales at the Dealer Sales and Services meeting.

4. Just Starting in the Online Auction World? Here’s What You Should Do First

In May, we put together a recommended list of best practices to implement at the beginning of an online auction that will help streamline the process. The list included understanding that online auctions are fundamentally different, knowing the types of online auctions, using the power of photographs and getting comfortable with AutoGrade.

3. VIDEO: Kontos Commentary for July 2015

In August, Tom Kontos, EVP and chief economist of ADESA Analytical Services, released his first Kontos Kommentary video report detailing the used vehicle market outlook for July 2015.

2. Marketing to Millennials: What Do They Want in A Car Dealership?

In March, we released a few tips to car dealers who were looking to reach the rapidly growing Millennial (people age 18-32) audience. Since so much of what drives Millennials is different from the rest of the population, our tips accurately reflected the wants and desires of the demographic.

1. Coming Soon to the Windy City: ADESA Chicago

In April, we announced the development of our new whole car auction facilityADESA Chicago. The 65-acre site broke ground in September and is expected to open in spring 2016!
