After a successful panel discussion and workshop at the GIADA convention in Savannah, Georgia, I headed off to the Alabama Independent Automobile Dealer’s Association’s 49th Annual Convention & Trade Expo, held at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front hotel.

There I was honored to deliver the keynote address at the kickoff breakfast. They even presented me with a plaque to commemorate my speech!

Now I’m off to Dallas for the TIADA Annual Conference and Expo July 29-31. At this event, I’m handing off my speaker duties to Joe Keadle, the chief operating officer of Automotive Finance Corporation (AFC), a sister company to ADESA under the KAR Auction Services umbrella.

Joe is going to present “Maximizing Value on Your Feet,” a workshop in the Special Finance & Retail learning track at TIADA. Here’s how he describes his session:

The customer walk-around once was a key staple in the car sales process. With the role of online research and the more informed customer, the walk-around experience has become a slimmed down version of its once robust self.

The walk-around car presentation creates greater customer engagement, a smoother sales process, and increases the value proposition for the buyer.
