At ADESA Canada, we’ve recently launched an exciting new program in collaboration with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Advocating for JDRF is a cause many ADESA employees are passionate about. From raffles and fundraisers at ADESA locations to car shows and special event car auctions, we’ve been able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for type 1 diabetes care and cure research.

At all ADESA Canada auction locations, the “Give it Up! For A Cure” campaign with JDRF is now underway. Through the program, people can easily donate their unwanted vehicles to support this important cause.

ADESA dealer customers are encouraging their own customers to donate cars to auction, where the proceeds from the sale will be sent directly to JDRF. ADESA makes this process simple by handling the transportation and sale details–all donors need to do is fill out a form with necessary disclosure information. After the sale is complete, donors receive a tax receipt; they can even track the entire process online. It’s as simple as 1-2-3.

The program isn’t limited to only cars – we can take any type of motor vehicle across Canada, including RVs, ATVs, motorcycles and more. ADESA Winnipeg initiated this movement several years ago, but Steve Langdon, senior executive sales director for ADESA Canada, saw value in meeting with JDRF to set up a formal, nationwide program available at all 14 Canadian auction locations. We’re thrilled about this opportunity to provide even more to the organization.
