I always look forward to the annual NADA Show, and not just because it’s held in a warm-weather state during wintertime. The event is a chance for me—and others at ADESA and the KAR group of companies—to talk shop with dealers, connect with industry peers and share our newest marketplace offerings.

But perhaps the biggest reason I enjoy attending NADA Show is getting to emcee the annual ADESA charity auction, which supports the NADA Foundation and Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Through seven years of running the charity auction at NADA, ADESA has raised close to $400,000 on behalf of the foundation and supported charities like CCI.

During NADA 2019 in San Francisco, I’ll once again take the mic to help raise money for the cause. This year, we’re auctioning off a completely customized, four-seat Yamaha golf cart to the highest bidder. Now, I know how much car dealers like their golf carts, so I’m confident that this will be a highly anticipated event.

Aside from the charity auction itself, the event will feature CCI puppies and a veteran telling his story of how the organization changed his life. Until you can hear from him yourself, check out this video from CCI to get a better understanding of the tremendous importance of these service dogs.

The sale will take place at ADESA booth #621 South on Saturday, January 26, at 1 p.m. PT. I hope to see you all there to support NADA Foundation and Canine Companions for Independence!
